We fell in love with the people of Guatemala in the early 1980's when we were part of a medical mission trip. We wanted to adopt a child from them...but life got busy. We always tell people..."don't let your dreams die". So in 2007, we went to Guatemala and found our son. He is almost 18 now!
There are people who cannot even afford food or clothing....we want to help. We want to be a resource to help them find a way to help themselves! A wise man once said to never solve people's problems....you then have just created another problem. The key is to find ways to help them solve their own problems!
Whether it is building bunkbeds or stoves, we will help provide the resources for them to get these basic needs met. They are not looking for a handout...they are looking for another human being to help them survive. That's where you and I come in. Not everyone can travel to these countries, but all of us can give.
